The Employability Skills qualifications support individuals in developing the skills and attitudes valued by employers. The aim is to help individuals successfully prepare for and get a job, then to provide them with the tools to succeed and advance in their role.
The Employability Skills qualifications have been designed with maximum flexibility in mind so they can meet all learner requirements. These qualifications are available from Entry 2 to Level 2. A learner can achieve some units and claim the smaller Introductory Award, Award or Extended Award or continue and gain this Certificate/Extended Certificate or continue further to claim a Diploma sized qualification.
This Qualification is for learners who work or want to work in the customer service sector and other related sectors for example, contact center and sales. It allows learners to learn, develop and practice the skills required in employment. It serves as hybrid qualification coving the technical certificate and NVQ requirements in the Customer Service Apprenticeship framework. It was developed in association with the Council for Administration (SkillsCfA).
On completion of this qualification candidates may progress into employment or to the following City & Guilds qualifications:
• Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service
• Customer Service Apprenticeship
• Qualifications in other work related areas (for examples Contact Centers, Sales, Social Media, Team leading, Administration, retail and other technical sectors).
